Counter Culture Youth is our program for 11-18 year olds
What is the vision of the ministry?
To raise up a group of young people who follow Jesus rather than the trends of their generation. To offer a place where teenagers can find refuge, let their guards down and experience Jesus who promises life to the full.
What does it look like on a week to week basis?
CCY Cell is a chance for our youth to dig a little deeper. We run two; 11-14’s on a Tuesday evening and 15-19’s on a Friday evening.
Every Sunday we run CCY Sunday during the morning service, where our youth can receive Bible teaching pitched at their level.
What would be involved in serving in this area?
CCY Cell would involve been free either Tuesdays 6.30-8 or Fridays 7-9.30. CCY Sunday would involve being put on a rota and coming out after worship roughly once a month to help lead the morning.
What sort of person are you looking for?
Anyone and everyone! You must be up for a laugh, have a lot of patience, plenty of energy and a passion for youth.
What is the process if I want to get involved?
If you are a member you can register your interest on the website of e-mail info@thecitychurch.org.uk. We will arrange for you to visit the youth group. You will then need to have an interview and follow the child protection process.
